"As a Guidance Designate, we frequently encounter students facing mental health issues related to academics, family matters, abuse, and depression, often leading to self-harm. To support those who can't attend formal school for personal reasons or as advised by doctors, we provide a Home-schooling program, emphasizing the right of every individual to access education despite their situations. We collaborate with institutions, school partners, and the division office, referring cases to private doctors when necessary. Parental involvement is crucial to some private sessions, and we also organize seminars, conferences, and online kumustahan to address mental health. Ever since I was assigned in the Guidance Office, my aim has been to remove the stigma that it's solely associated with punishment, instead emphasizing guidance, comfort, and a safe place for students."
